Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Gecko Road for your use of Habits. By downloading or using Habits, you agree to these terms and the Habits Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What Habits provides

Habits is a personal organization tool for tracking routines, schedules, reminders, completions, streaks, and progress. It is not medical, mental-health, fitness, legal, or other professional advice, and it does not guarantee that you will achieve a goal or maintain a routine.

Your data and responsibilities

You retain ownership of the habit information you enter. Habit data is stored locally, and you are responsible for your device access, device security, and any records you need to preserve. Android backup is disabled for Habits, and Gecko Road cannot recover local data after it is cleared, deleted, lost with a device, or removed by uninstalling.

You are responsible for using reminders safely and for confirming notification, time, battery, and device settings. Do not rely on Habits for emergency, medical, safety, legal, or time-critical notices.

Free plan

The Free plan currently allows up to four active habits and includes all habit types, local reminders, core statistics, night mode, archive access, and local data controls. Gecko Road may improve or change Free features over time, subject to applicable law.

Habits Pro subscription

Habits offers an optional, automatically renewing monthly subscription called Habits Pro. It unlocks full Insights and unlimited active habits. The US reference price is $1.99 per month, but the localized price, currency, tax, and billing details displayed by Google Play before purchase control your transaction.

Payment is charged to your Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
The subscription renews automatically for successive monthly periods unless you cancel through Google Play before the current billing period ends.
You can manage or cancel Habits Pro in Google Play. Deleting Habits or clearing local data does not cancel the subscription.
Restore Purchases can restore active access associated with the same Google Play account, subject to Google Play and RevenueCat availability.
Refunds, billing disputes, price changes, and transaction rules are governed by Google Play and applicable law.

The Free plan remains available if you do not subscribe or after Pro access expires. Existing habits are not automatically deleted when a subscription ends, but adding new active habits may be limited until you return within the Free limit or subscribe again.

Acceptable use

Gecko Road grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Habits for personal, lawful purposes on devices you own or control. You may not interfere with the app or purchase systems, bypass subscription controls, distribute malware, abuse connected services, infringe rights, or reverse engineer Habits except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Ownership

Gecko Road owns Habits, its software, design, branding, and documentation, excluding your content and third-party materials. These terms do not transfer any Gecko Road intellectual property rights to you.

Availability and changes

Habits may be updated, changed, interrupted, or discontinued. Purchase features depend on Google Play and RevenueCat and may be affected by their availability or policies. Gecko Road does not promise that the app, reminders, data, purchases, or any feature will always be available, accurate, or error-free.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Habits is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, data preservation, reminder delivery, or results. Gecko Road is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, missed reminders, lost progress, lost profits, or decisions based on Habits. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Google Play

Google is not responsible for Habits support. Your download, purchase, refund, and use of Habits are also subject to the applicable Google Play terms and policies.

Changes and contact

Gecko Road may update these terms. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated when required by law. Questions can be sent to alex@geckoroad.com.
